Scuba Diving Southwest Coast of England, UK, Europe – Budleigh Salterton, Devon

August 7, 2007

Dive Site: Budleigh Salterton
Location: Devon
Description: Reef
Depth: 7 metres (23 feet)
Visibility: 10 metres (30 feet)

A good site for training and skills. Entry is fairly easy from the sandy beach, where there is a gradual slope down to 7-8m. There is a small reef of rocks and kelp several hundred yards from the shore that provide shelter for small marine life, although it is not necessarily that easy to find! Most of the interest in this dive is on the sandy bed, where there are numerous flatfish, crabs, shrimps and baby hermits.
